7.04.02 Packages

  1. Each Package column contains the following:
    1. Package Name
    2. Package Effective Date
    3. Default Plan
      1. Defaults to the first plan in the package.
      2. All package plans are available.
      3. When a different default plan is selected, it will be assigned to employees who are eligible for that plan.
        1. Original Assigned Plans
        2. Newly Assigned Plan
      4. Package Total Premium is updated based on the assigned plan.
    4. Assigned Plan and Plan Premium
      1. Shows the Assigned Plan and the Total Plan Premium across all packages for the employee and dependents when Census details are collapsed.
      2. Shows the Assigned Plan and the individual Plan Premium for the employee and each dependents when Census details are expanded.
  2. Add Employee Eligibility Date
    1. You can add the Employee Eligibility Date if an employee’s enrollment date is different from the Current Package Effective Date.
    2. Click the icon beside the employee’s premium to select a different enrollment date.
    3. Select the appropriate date and click the Update button.
    4. The employee and/or dependent rate is updated on the Current package based on Plan Maintenance rules.
  3. Change Plan Assignment Across Packages
    1. Select a different plan in a package.
    2. A corresponding plan in the same row for packages to the right will be automatically assigned.
    3. Examples:
      1. Original Assignments
      2. Changing the Current Package plan changes the plan for the packages to the right.
      3. Changing the Renewal Package plan changes the plan for the last package only. The Current Package plan is not changed
    4. Discard Unsaved Changes/Save Changes
      1. Click the Save button to save the changes.
      2. Click the Discard Unsaved Changes to reset all and not save the changes.
      3. If changes have not been discarded or saved, a warning message will appear when navigating away from the screen.
      4. Click Discard Unsaved Changes or Save.
    5. If a plan is not available for assignment to an employee, the employee and plan row is highlighted.
